Privacy Policy - DataMoov for GSheets by JustDataPlease

How the DataMoov for GSheets add-on by JustDataPlease accesses, uses, stores, shares, retains and deletes your Google user data.

This Privacy Policy explains how DataMoov for GSheets — the Google Sheets™ add-on published by JustDataPlease and shown on the Google consent screen as JustDataPlease — accesses, uses, stores and shares your information, including data obtained through Google APIs. The add-on is operated by JustDataPlease Studio L.P. ("JustDataPlease", "we", "us"). This policy applies only to the add-on; our website is covered by our general Privacy Policy.

By installing or using the add-on you agree to the practices described here and to our Terms of Service.

1. Summary

The add-on is built so that your spreadsheet content and your third-party credentials never leave your Google Account.

2. The Google permissions we request, and why

When you install the add-on, Google asks you to grant the permissions below. We request only what the add-on needs to work.

See, edit, create, and delete all your Google Sheets spreadsheets (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/spreadsheets)
To write the data you request into the sheet you are working in, create report tabs, and apply formatting. Google Sheets™ add-ons run inside your browser and account through Apps Script, so this permission grants access to that code, not to us. Spreadsheet content is never transmitted to JustDataPlease.

Display and run third-party web content in prompts and sidebars inside Google applications (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/script.container.ui)
To show the add-on's sidebar and dialogs, where you configure a report and start a sync.

Connect to an external service (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/script.external_request)
To call the third-party service you have chosen (for example the GitHub API) and our own endpoints, so that the data you asked for can be fetched and placed in your sheet.

Allow this application to run when you are not present (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/script.scriptapp)
To create time-driven triggers, so a report you scheduled can refresh on its own. These refreshes run inside your Google Account under Apps Script.

See your primary Google Account email address (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.email)
To identify your installation, provide support and send service notifications. This is the only Google user data we store.

See your personal info, including any personal info you've made publicly available (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.profile)
Requested by the standard Google sign-in flow that accompanies the email permission. We do not store your name, profile picture or any other profile field.

You can review or withdraw these permissions at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

3. Google user data we collect and store

We collect and store one item of Google user data:

We store it on our servers so that we can recognise your installation, respond to support requests from you, and notify you about changes to the add-on.

4. Google user data we do not collect

To be explicit about the broad Google Sheets permission described above, we do not collect, receive, transmit to our servers, log, or store:

Your credentials are held in your own spreadsheet and in Google's per-user Apps Script properties store, inside your Google Account. We have no access to them, and we cannot recover them for you if they are lost.

5. How we use Google user data

Your email address is used only to provide and improve the add-on's functionality:

We do not use your email address for advertising or targeted marketing, we do not sell or rent it, and we do not use Google user data to develop, improve or train generalised or non-personalised artificial intelligence or machine learning models.

6. Limited Use — compliance with Google's API Services User Data Policy

JustDataPlease's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

In practice this means we use Google user data only to provide and improve user-facing features of the add-on that are prominent in its interface, and we do not transfer or use that data for serving advertisements, for selling to data brokers or information resellers, or for any purpose unrelated to the add-on's functionality.

7. Sharing, transfer and disclosure

We do not sell, rent or trade Google user data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes.

Your email address is disclosed only to the service providers that operate our infrastructure, and only so that they can run the add-on's backend on our behalf under contract:

These providers act as processors on our instructions and may not use the data for their own purposes.

We may also disclose data where we are required to by valid legal process, or where disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, safety, or the security of the service. If JustDataPlease is ever involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, we will give you notice before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Beyond this, no Google user data is transferred to any third party.

8. Third-party services you connect

The add-on fetches data from the third-party services you choose, using credentials you supply. Those requests are made from Google's Apps Script infrastructure on your behalf. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, which we do not control — please review them. Revoking a token in a third-party service stops the add-on from reading that service.

9. Where your data is stored, and how we protect it

Your email address is stored on servers located in the European Union.

We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the small amount of data we hold:

Because spreadsheet content and third-party credentials never reach our systems, they are not exposed by any compromise of our infrastructure.

10. Data retention and deletion

You can have everything deleted in two steps, at any time:

  1. Uninstall the add-on and revoke its access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. This immediately ends all access to your Google Account.
  2. Ask us to erase your record by emailing [email protected] or using our support page. We delete your stored email address within 30 days and confirm when it is done.

Deletion requests are free of charge and we do not require a reason.

11. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict or erase the personal data we hold about you, to object to its processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Because the only personal data we store is your email address, most requests can be answered immediately.

To exercise any of these rights, contact [email protected]. We respond within 30 days.

Our legal basis for processing your email address is the performance of our contract with you (providing the add-on) and our legitimate interest in supporting and securing the service.

12. Children

The add-on is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the add-on changes. The "Last updated" date above always reflects the current version. If we change how we access, use, store or share Google user data, we will notify installed users by email at the address described in section 3, and where the change is material we will ask for your consent again before it takes effect.
